Our Publisher John Vargo on the Early Striped Bass Season (NY Daily News Article)

Our publisher, John Vargo, was interviewed by the NY Daily News about the early striped bass fishing season!

“For New York State anglers, spring means the arrival of striped bass in the Hudson River, plus the April 1 openings for both trout and flounder.

According to river-fishing scribe John Vargo, those stripers arrived about three weeks early. They are already in abundance as far north as Albany and the Bear Mountain Bridge, with lots of tempting herring in feeder creeks and streams.”

We’d love to hear your “fish tales” for the 2012 fishing season.  Please email John Vargo at vargojhvargo@aol.com, with your story and a picture or two (we would like to see the proof! it’s fish tales, not fish fairy tales. 🙂 ) If selected your story could be featured on our “Fish Tale Friday” segment of our Boating Blog and Boating on the Hudson Facebook Page.
